It has been a year since we commissioned our Stephen Ministers for ministry. In the past year, our Stephen Ministers have provided 145.75 hours of care and 9 people have received/are receiving care from them. We thank God for this ministry!
Stephen Ministry is one-to-one lay Christian caregiving. Stephen Ministers are trained to listen and help others sort through their feelings. If you feel a need for someone to walk with you through a transition or other challenging experience, please contact Marilyn Rudy-Froese, Referrals Coordinator, at 534-2398. The Stephen Ministers have added to Berkey’s ability to be Christ’s loving, caring, healing presence within our congregation and the community.
