What is Peace Club?
(1) It’s a gathering for CHILDREN in the PRIMARY and MIDDLER nurture classes AND THEIR PARENTS at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship.
(2) It happens in the Jubilee Hall every other month on the designated SUNDAY FOLLOWING NURTURE TIME.
(3) We eat LUNCH together.
(4) We have a variety of ACTIVITIES on a theme designed to help children GROW IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF PEACE. Stories, pictures, movement activities, and various projects are included.
Next Sunday we will learn about trying to make peace where Jesus lived, in Israel/Palestine, using Nazareth Village as a resource.
SUNDAY, September 21, is our first meeting of the new year. We will have some pita to dip in olive oil from Palestine and some baklava for dessert. In addition, each family should bring its own brown bag lunch. Drinks will be provided.
LOOK FOR A FAMILY ACTIVITY in your mailbox this Sunday to do before Peace Club next week. For any questions, ask Beth Berry, Peace Club Coordinator.
