For the last two Sundays, we’ve focused on Mary, the mother of Jesus. In Dan’s sermon on Luke 1:26-38, we heard how Mary enthusiastically chooses to collaborate with God. In Joanne’s sermon on Luke 1:46-55, we pondered what blessedness means. This Sunday, we’ll sing lots of songs and hear our children’s Christmas program.
Then on the 24th at 6:30 p.m., our Christmas Eve service will feature scripture texts and carols, art by the the African-American painter Henry Ossawa Tanner, and weather permitting, luminarias lining the entrance to the building. There will not be a morning service that day.
