The Council on Aging is seeking individuals to assist with transporting seniors to and from its program at the Goshen Salvation Army. The Council on Aging has a Life Enrichment site there that runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and since the agency has lost some of its transportation funding due to the sequester, they are no longer able to bring folks to the program. This is an unfortunate side effect of what’s going on in D.C. and our aging population is suffering from the lack of transportation support.
They would need vehicles that are handicap accessible from churches that have vans or buses that are not in use during the week. Their seniors would appreciate your assistance.
